بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Amar ibn Yasir رضي الله عنه said: “Whoever has three signs together will have gathered the Faith: 

Equity with yourself, offering peace to the world, and spending from small amounts.”

[Sahih Bukhari]

ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ جَمَعَهُنَّ فَقَدْ جَمَعَ الْإِيمَانَ :

 الْإِنْصَافُ مِنْ نَفْسِكَ ، وَبَذْلُ السَّلَامِ لِلْعَالَمِ ، وَالْإِنْفَاقُ مِنَ الْإِقْتَارِ

There is no gift better than patience

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri reported : Indeed, some people from the Ansar asked the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and he gave them. 

Then they asked (for charity) again and he gave them. Then they asked again and he gave them until all he had was gone. 

He said, “If I had anything, I would not withhold it. Whoever refrains from asking others, then Allah will make him content; and whoever would be self-sufficient, then Allah will make him self-sufficient; and whoever would be patient, then Allah will make him patient. 

There is no gift that is better and more comprehensive than patience.”

( Sahih Bukhari )

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ إِنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ سَأَلُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَعْطَاهُمْ ثُمَّ سَأَلُوهُ فَأَعْطَاهُمْ ثُمَّ سَأَلُوهُ فَأَعْطَاهُمْ حَتَّى نَفِدَ مَا عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ مَا يَكُونُ عِنْدِي مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَلَنْ أَدَّخِرَهُ عَنْكُمْ وَمَنْ يَسْتَعْفِفْ يُعِفَّهُ اللَّهُ وَمَنْ يَسْتَغْنِ يُغْنِهِ اللَّهُ وَمَنْ يَتَصَبَّرْ يُصَبِّرْهُ اللَّهُ وَمَا أُعْطِيَ أَحَدٌ عَطَاءً خَيْرًا وَأَوْسَعَ مِنْ الصَّبْرِ

There is a piece of flesh in the body

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Narrated An−Nu`man bin Bashir : I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 

'Both legal and illegal things are evident but in between them there are doubtful (suspicious) things and most of the people have no knowledge about them. 

So whoever saves himself from these suspicious things saves his religion and his honor. 

And whoever indulges in these suspicious things is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the Hima (private pasture) of someone else and at any moment he is liable to get in it. 

(O people!) Beware! Every king has a Hima and the Hima of Allah on the earth is His illegal (forbidden) things. 

Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart

AL Quran And Hadith

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Narrated Al−Bara' (bin `Azib): When the Prophet came to Medina, he stayed first with his grandfathers or maternal uncles from Ansar. He offered his prayers facing Baitul−Maqdis (Jerusalem) for sixteen or seventeen months, but he wished that he could pray facing the Ka`ba (at Mecca).

The first prayer which he offered facing the Ka`ba was the `Asr prayer in the company of some people. Then one of those who had offered that prayer with him came out and passed by some people in a mosque who were bowing during their prayers

(facing Jerusalem). 

He said addressing them, "By Allah, I testify that I have prayed with Allah's Apostle facing Mecca (Ka`ba).' Hearing that, those people changed their direction towards the Ka`ba immediately. Jews and the people of the scriptures used to be pleased to see the Prophet facing Jerusalem in prayers but when he changed his direction towards the Ka`ba, during the prayers, they disapproved of it. 

Al−Bara' added, "Before we changed our direction towards the Ka`ba (Mecca) in prayers, some Muslims had died or had been killed and we did not know what to say about them (regarding their prayers.)

Allah then revealed: And Allah would never make your faith (prayers) to be lost (i.e. the prayers of those Muslims were valid).' " (2:143)

The Lowest Place In Paradise

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Abu Huraira reported : The Prophet, peace be upon him, said , 

“A place in Paradise the size of a bow is better than everything upon which the sun rises and sets” 

And he said “A single endeavor in the cause of Allah is better than everything upon which the sun rises and sets”

( Sahih Bukhari )

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ

 لَقَابُ قَوْسٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا تَطْلُعُ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ وَتَغْرُبُ

 وَقَالَ لَغَدْوَةٌ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا تَطْلُعُ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ وَتَغْرُبُ

The lowest place in Paradise is greater than the whole world and everything in it

Establishing Justice

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger said: 

There is charity due upon every joint of the human body; every day on which the sun rises there 

is a reward of charity for the one who establishes justice among people

( Sahih Bukhari )

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم

كل سلامى من الناس عليه صدقة كل يوم تطلع فيه الشمس يعدل بين الناس صدقة

 Establishing Justice means that we makes fair decisions to fix problems among its Establishing justice also means that if it means to keep the ones you love safe then that the rules are good for the people, it also means that it can keep bad guysbehind bars to protect people from harms way, and it can give them the right to have fun but not do any thing wrong to break those rights.

Angel Gabriel : I Will Let The Mountains Fall On Them

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Aisha رضي الله عنها reported: She asked the Prophet ,
“Have you encountered a day harder than the battle of Uhud?”

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم replied, “Your tribes have troubled very much, and the worst was the day of ‘Aqaba when I presented myself to Ibn Abd-Yalail ibn Abd-Kulal and he did not respond to what I intended.

So I departed, overwhelmed with excessive sorrow, and I could not relax until I found myself at Qarnath-Tha-alib where I lifted my head towards the sky to see a cloud shading me. I looked up and saw Gabriel in it.

He called me saying, “Allah has heard your people’s saying to you and how they have replied. Allah has sent the Angel of the Mountains to you that you may order him to do whatever you wish to these people.”

The Angel of the Mountains greeted me, and said, “O Muhammad, order what you wish. If you like, I will let the mountains fall on them.”

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “No, I hope that Allah will bring from their descendants people who will worship Allah alone without associating partners with Him.”

( Sahih Bukhari )


أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَدَّثَتْهُ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم هَلْ أَتَى عَلَيْكَ يَوْمٌ كَانَ أَشَدَّ مِنْ يَوْمِ أُحُدٍ قَالَ ‏”‏ لَقَدْ لَقِيتُ مِنْ قَوْمِكِ مَا لَقِيتُ، وَكَانَ أَشَدُّ مَا لَقِيتُ مِنْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْعَقَبَةِ، إِذْ عَرَضْتُ نَفْسِي عَلَى ابْنِ عَبْدِ يَالِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ كُلاَلٍ، فَلَمْ يُجِبْنِي إِلَى مَا أَرَدْتُ، فَانْطَلَقْتُ وَأَنَا مَهْمُومٌ عَلَى وَجْهِي، فَلَمْ أَسْتَفِقْ إِلاَّ وَأَنَا بِقَرْنِ الثَّعَالِبِ، فَرَفَعْتُ رَأْسِي، فَإِذَا أَنَا بِسَحَابَةٍ قَدْ أَظَلَّتْنِي، فَنَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا فِيهَا جِبْرِيلُ فَنَادَانِي فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ سَمِعَ قَوْلَ قَوْمِكَ لَكَ وَمَا رَدُّوا عَلَيْكَ، وَقَدْ بَعَثَ إِلَيْكَ مَلَكَ الْجِبَالِ لِتَأْمُرَهُ بِمَا شِئْتَ فِيهِمْ، فَنَادَانِي مَلَكُ الْجِبَالِ، فَسَلَّمَ عَلَىَّ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ، فَقَالَ ذَلِكَ فِيمَا شِئْتَ، إِنْ شِئْتَ أَنْ أُطْبِقَ عَلَيْهِمِ الأَخْشَبَيْنِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَلْ أَرْجُو أَنْ يُخْرِجَ اللَّهُ مِنْ أَصْلاَبِهِمْ مَنْ يَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ وَحْدَهُ لاَ يُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا ‏‏‏

The Angel of the Mountains offered to destroy the disbelievers but the Prophet had mercy on them

The Best Charity

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, 

“The best charity is what you give when wealthy, and you should start with

spending on your dependents.”

( Sahih Bukhari )

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ

 خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى، وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ ‏”‏‏

The best charity is given from your wealth to your needy family members

Narrated Abu Mas’ud Al-Ansari: The Prophet, peace be upon him, said,

“When a Muslim spends something on his family intending (to receive Allah’s reward)

 it is regarded as charity for him.”

عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ فَقُلْتُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ فَقَالَ

إِذَا أَنْفَقَ الْمُسْلِمُ نَفَقَةً عَلَى أَهْلِهِ وَهُوَ يَحْتَسِبُهَا كَانَتْ لَهُ صَدَقَةً

Plants A Tree Is A Charity

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Anas bin Malik رضي الله عنه narrated: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said,

“There is no Muslim who plants a tree or sows seeds and then a bird, or a person, or an animal eats from it

except that it is regarded as a charity for him.”

( Sahih Bukhari )

عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

‏ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَغْرِسُ غَرْسًا، أَوْ يَزْرَعُ زَرْعًا، فَيَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ طَيْرٌ أَوْ إِنْسَانٌ أَوْ بَهِيمَةٌ،

 إِلاَّ كَانَ لَهُ بِهِ صَدَقَةٌ

No Muslim plants a tree except that it is rewarded as charity

His Eyes Were Closed But His Heart May Live

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas : 

One night I slept at the house of my aunt Maimuna and the Prophet slept (too). He got up (for prayer) in the last hours of the night and performed a light ablution from a hanging leather skin. ('Amr, the sub-narrator described that the ablution was very light). 

Then he stood up for prayer and I got up too and performed the ablution in the same way and joined him on his left side. He pulled me to the right and prayed as much as Allah will. Then he lay down and slept and I heard his breath sounds till the Mu'adh-dhin came to him to inform him about the (Fajr) prayer. 

He left with him for the prayer and prayed without repeating the ablution. (Sufyan the subnarrator said: We said to 'Amr, "Some people say, 'The eyes of the Prophet sleep but his heart never sleeps.' 

 'Amr said, "'Ubai bin 'Umar said, 'The dreams of the Prophets are Divine Inspirations. Then he recited, '(O my son), I have seen in dream that I was slaughtering you (offering you in sacrifice).") 

(37.102)

Obligatory Charity Tax (Zakat)

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Narrated Jarir bin `Abdullah , I gave the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet for offering prayer perfectly, giving Zakat, and giving good advice to every Muslim.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "(On the Day of Resurrection) camels will come to their owner in the best state of health they have ever had (in the world), and if he had not paid their Zakat (in the world) then they would tread him with their feet; and similarly, sheep will come to their owner in the best state of health they have ever had in the world, and if he had not paid their Zakat, then they would tread him with their hooves and would butt him with their horns."

The Prophet added, " One of their rights is that they should be milked while water is kept in front of them." The Prophet added, "I do not want anyone of you to come to me on the Day of Resurrection, carrying over his neck a sheep that will be bleating. Such a person will (then) say, 'O Muhammad! (please intercede for me,) I will say to him. 'I can't help you, for I conveyed Allah's Message to you.' Similarly, I do not want anyone of you to come to me carrying over his neck a camel that will be grunting. Such a person (then) will say "O Muhammad! (please intercede for me)." I will say to him, "I can't help you for I conveyed Allah's message to you."

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever is made wealthy by Allah and does not pay the Zakat of his wealth, then on the Day of Resurrection his wealth will be made like a baldheaded poisonous male snake with two black spots over the eyes. The snake will encircle his neck and bite his cheeks and say, 'I am your wealth, I am your treasure.' " Then the Prophet recited the holy verses: 'Let not those who withhold. .' (to the end of the verse). (3.180).

Forgives Others Allah Will Forgives You

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, 

“A man used to give loans to the people and would say to his servant, 

‘If the debtor is poor, forgive him, so that perhaps Allah may forgive us.’ 

So when he met Allah (on the Day of Judgment), Allah forgave him.”

( Sahih Bukhari )

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ

 كَانَ الرَّجُلُ يُدَايِنُ النَّاسَ، فَكَانَ يَقُولُ لِفَتَاهُ إِذَا أَتَيْتَ مُعْسِرًا فَتَجَاوَزْ عَنْهُ،

 لَعَلَّ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَتَجَاوَزَ عَنَّا‏.‏ قَالَ فَلَقِيَ اللَّهَ فَتَجَاوَزَ عَنْهُ

The Best Way To Call To Islam

Anas رضى الله عنه reported: 

A young Jewish boy used to serve the Prophet and he became sick, so the Prophet went to visit him. 

He sat near his head and asked him to embrace Islam. 

The boy looked at his father, who was sitting next to him. 

The father said, “Obey Abu Al-Qasim,” and so the boy embraced Islam. 

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم came out saying:

 “All praise is due to Allah who saved the boy from the Hell-fire.”

( Sahih Bukhari )

عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ كَانَ غُلاَمٌ يَهُودِيٌّ يَخْدُمُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَمَرِضَ، فَأَتَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَعُودُهُ، فَقَعَدَ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ ‏”‏ أَسْلِمْ ‏”‏‏.‏ فَنَظَرَ إِلَى أَبِيهِ وَهْوَ عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَطِعْ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏.‏ فَأَسْلَمَ، فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهْوَ يَقُولُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنْقَذَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ ‏‏‏

It Is The Religion

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al−Khudri: Allah's Apostle said, 

"While I was sleeping I saw (in a dream) some people wearing shirts of which some were reaching up to the breasts only while others were even shorter than that. `Umar bin Al−Khattab was shown wearing a shirt that he was dragging." The people asked, "How did you interpret it? (What is its interpretation) O Allah's Apostle?" He (the Prophet ) replied, "It is the Religion."

Narrated `Abdullah (bin `Umar): Once Allah's Apostle passed by an Ansari (man) who was admonishing to his brother regarding Haya' (pious shyness from committing religious indiscretions). On that Allah's Apostle said, "Leave him as Haya' is a part of faith."

Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah's Apostle said : 

"I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform a that, then they save their lives an property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah."

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle was asked, "What is the best deed?" He replied, "To believe in Allah and His Apostle (Muhammad). The questioner then asked, "What is the next (in goodness)?

He replied, "To participate in Jihad (religious fighting) in Allah's Cause."

The questioner again asked, "What is the next (in goodness)?"

He replied, "To perform Hajj (Pilgrim age to Mecca) Mabrur"

(i.e. accepted by Allah, performed with the intention of seeking Allah's pleasure only
and not to show off, without committing a sin and in accordance with the traditions of the Prophet).

The Sweetness Of Faith

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al−Khudri: Allah's Apostle said, "A time will come that the best property of a Muslim will be sheep which he will take on the top of mountains and the places of rainfall (valleys) so as to flee with his religion from afflictions."

Narrated `Aisha: Whenever Allah's Apostle ordered the Muslims to do something, he used to order them deeds which were easy for them to do, (according to their strength endurance). They said, "O Allah's Apostle! We are not like you. Allah has forgiven your past and future sins." So Allah's Apostle became angry and it was apparent on his face. He said, "I am the most Allah fearing, and know Allah better than all of you do."

Narrated Anas : The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will taste the sweetness of faith : 

• The one to whom Allah and His Apostle become dearer than anything else.
• Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake.
• Who hates to revert to disbelief (Atheism) after Allah has brought (saved) him out from it, as he hates to be thrown in fire."

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al−Khudri: The Prophet said, "When the people of Paradise will enter Paradise and the people of Hell will go to Hell, Allah will order those who have had faith equal to the weight of a grain of mustard seed to be taken out from Hell. So they will be taken out but (by then) they will be blackened (charred). Then they will be put in the river of Haya' (rain) or Hayat (life) (the Narrator is in doubt as to

which is the right term), and they will revive like a grain that grows near the bank of a flood channel. Don't you see that it comes out yellow and twisted"

None Of You Will Have Faith Till

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Narrated Anas: The Prophet said, "None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself."

Narrated Abu Huraira: "Allah's Apostle said, "By Him in Whose Hands my life is, none of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father and his children."

Narrated Anas: The Prophet said "None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind."

Narrated Anas : The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith :

1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else.

2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake.

3. Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire."

Narrated Anas : The Prophet said, "Love for the Ansar is a sign of faith and hatred for the Ansar is a sign of hypocrisy."

Narrated 'Ubada bin As−Samit: who took part in the battle of Badr and was a Naqib (a person heading a group of six persons), on the night of Al−`Aqaba pledge: Allah's Apostle said while a group of his companions were around him, "Swear allegiance to me for :

1. Not to join anything in worship along with Allah.

2. Not to steal.

3. Not to commit illegal sexual intercourse.

4. Not to kill your children.

5. Not to accuse an innocent person (to spread such an accusation among people). 

6. Not to be disobedient (when ordered) to do good deed." 

The Prophet added: "Whoever among you fulfills his pledge will be rewarded by Allah. And whoever indulges in any one of them (except the ascription of  partners to Allah) and gets the punishment in this world, that punishment will be an expiation for that sin. And if one indulges in any of them, and Allah conceals his sin, it is up to Him to forgive or punish him (in the Hereafter)." 'Ubada bin As−Samit added: "So we swore allegiance for these." (points to Allah's Apostle)

Spread love and peace, Beware of hatred

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “By the One in whose hand is my soul, you will not enter Paradise until you submit. You will not submit until you love one another. Greet each other with peace and you will love one another. Beware of hatred, for it is the razor. I do not say it shaves hair, but it shaves away the religion.”

[Bukhari]

عن أبي هريرة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏

 والذي نفسي بيده لا تدخلوا الجنة حتى تسلموا ولا تسلموا حتى تحابوا وأفشوا السلام تحابوا وإياكم والبغضة فإنها هي الحالقة لا أقول لكم‏:

‏ تحلق الشعر ولكن تحلق الدين

Greet whom you know and do not know

Abdullah ibn Umar reported that a man asked the Messenger of Allah, “Which Islam is best?” He, peace be upon him, said, “To feed the poor and to greet with peace whomever you know or whomever you do not know.”

[Sunan an-Nasa’i]

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

What Is Meant By Believing

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Narrated Abu Jamra: I used to sit with Ibn `Abbas and he made me sit on his sitting place. He requested me to stay with him in order that he might give me a share from his property. So I stayed with him for two months. Once he told (me) that when the delegation of the tribe of `Abdul Qais came to the Prophet, 

The Prophet asked them, "Who are the people (i.e. you)? (Or) who are the delegate?" 

They replied, "We are from the tribe of Rabi`a." 

Then the Prophet said to them, "Welcome! O people (or O delegation of `Abdul Qais)! Neither will you have disgrace nor will you regret." 

They said, "O Allah's Apostle! We cannot come to you except in the sacred month and there is the infidel tribe of Mudar intervening between you and us. So please order us to do something good (religious deeds) so that we may inform our people whom we have left behind (at home), and that we may enter Paradise (by acting on them)." 

Then they asked about drinks (what is legal and what is illegal). The Prophet ordered them to do four things and forbade them from four things. He ordered them to believe in Allah Alone and asked them, "Do you know what is meant by believing in Allah Alone?" 

They replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better." 

Thereupon the Prophet said, "It means : 

1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Apostle. 

2. To offer prayers perfectly 

3. To pay the Zakat (obligatory charity) 

4. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan. 

5. And to pay Al−Khumus (one fifth of the booty to be given in Allah's Cause). 

Then he forbade them four things, namely Hantam, Dubba, Naqir−Muzaffat or (Naqir) Muqaiyar (names of pots in which Alcoholic drinks were prepared, the Prophet used the names of the pots to designate the prohibited drinks usually brewed in them). 

The Prophet further said (to them): "Memorize them (these instructions) and convey them to the people whom you have left behind."

The Revelations

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

1.1 : Narrated `Umar bin Al−Khattab: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "Deeds (their correctness and rewards) depend upon intentions, and every person gets but what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits, or for a woman to marry, his emigration is for what he emigrated for."

1.2 : Narrated `Aisha: (the mother of the faithful believers) Al−Harith bin Hisham asked Allah's Apostle "O Allah's Apostle! How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you?" Allah's Apostle replied, "Sometimes it is (revealed) like the ringing of a bell, this form of Inspiration is the hardest of all and then this state passes off after I have grasped what is inspired. Sometimes the Angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp what he says." `Aisha added: Verily I saw the Prophet being inspired Divinely on a very cold day and noticed the sweat dropping from his forehead (as the Inspiration was over).

1.3 : Narrated `Aisha : (the mother of the faithful believers) The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah's Apostle was in the form of good dreams which came true like bright day light, and then the love of seclusion was bestowed upon him. He used to go in seclusion in the cave of Hira where he used to worship (Allah alone) continuously for many days before his desire to see his family. He used to take with him the journey food for the stay and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food likewise again till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, "I do not know how to read. The Prophet added, "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, 'I do not know how to read.' Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read but again I replied, 'I do not know how to read (or what shall I read)?' Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said, 'Read in the name of your Lord, who has created (all that exists) has created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous." 

Then Allah's Apostle returned with the Inspiration and with his heart beating severely. Then he went to Khadija bint Khuwailid and said, "Cover me! Cover me!" They covered him till his fear was over and after that he told her everything that had happened and said, "I fear that something may happen to me." Khadija replied, "Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your Kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist the deserving calamity−afflicted ones." Khadija then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin `Abdul `Uzza, who, during the pre Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the writing with Hebrew letters. He would write from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to Waraqa, "Listen to the story of your nephew, O my cousin!" Waraqa asked, "O my nephew! What have you seen?" Allah's Apostle described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said, "This is the same one who keeps the secrets (angel Gabriel) whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out." Allah's Apostle asked, "Will they drive me out?" Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said, "Anyone (man) who came with something similar to what you have brought was treated with hostility; and if I should remain Alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly." But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while. 

Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah Al−Ansari while talking about the period of pause in revelation reporting the speech of the Prophet "While I was walking, all of a sudden I heard a voice from the sky. I looked up and saw the same angel who had visited me at the cave of Hira' sitting on a chair between the sky and the earth. I got afraid of him and came back home and said, 'Wrap me (in blankets).' And then Allah revealed the following Holy Verses (of Qur'an): 'O you (i.e. Muhammad)! wrapped up in garments!' Arise and warn (the people against Allah's Punishment),... up to 'and desert the idols.' (74.1−5) After this the revelation started coming strongly, frequently and regularly."
