When The Messiah Returns

Friday, April 27, 2012 | 0 comments

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: I heard the Prophet, peace be upon him, say,

“There will not cease to be a group of my people fighting for the sake of the truth and prevailing until the Day of Resurrection.”

Then he said, “Jesus the son of Mary, peace be upon him, will descend and the commander (of the Muslims) will invite him to lead the prayer but he would say:

No, some of you are commanders over others. This is an honor for this nation.”

( Sahih Muslim )

When the Messiah returns, he will be asked to lead the prayer but will defer to the leader of the Muslims

And if he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My Heart, and if he remembers Me in assembly I remember him in assembly, better than his (remembrance),

Aisha reported : I said, “O Messenger of Allah, in the time of ignorance the son of Jud’an would maintain family ties and feed the poor.

Will that benefit him?”

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “It will not benefit him because, indeed, he never said even for one day :

My Lord, forgive my sins on the Day of Judgment.”

( Sahih Muslim )

Safwan ibn Muhriz reported: A person said to Ibn Umar, “What did you hear from the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, about the personal conversation (with Allah on the Day of Resurrection)?”

He said, “I heard him saying: A believer will be brought before his Lord the Exalted on the Day of Resurrection and He will place upon him His veil and make him confess his sins, saying: Do you recognize?

He will say: My Lord, I do recognize.

Allah will say: I concealed them for you in the world and today I forgive you. He will then be given the book containing his good deeds. As for the disbelievers and hypocrites, there will be a general announcement before all creation declaring that these people had lied about Allah.”

Prayer Is A Light

“Purity is half of Faith and al-Hamdu Liliah (praise be to Allah) fills the scale,

and Subhan Allah (glory be to Allah) and al-Hamdu Liliah fill up what is between the heavens and the earth,

Angel Gabriel : I Will Let The Mountains Fall On Them

Sunday, April 15, 2012 | 0 comments

Aisha رضي الله عنها reported: She asked the Prophet ,
“Have you encountered a day harder than the battle of Uhud?”

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم replied, “Your tribes have troubled very much, and the worst was the day of ‘Aqaba when I presented myself to Ibn Abd-Yalail ibn Abd-Kulal and he did not respond to what I intended.

So I departed, overwhelmed with excessive sorrow, and I could not relax until I found myself at Qarnath-Tha-alib where I lifted my head towards the sky to see a cloud shading me. I looked up and saw Gabriel in it.

He called me saying, “Allah has heard your people’s saying to you and how they have replied. Allah has sent the Angel of the Mountains to you that you may order him to do whatever you wish to these people.”

The Angel of the Mountains greeted me, and said, “O Muhammad, order what you wish. If you like, I will let the mountains fall on them.”

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “No, I hope that Allah will bring from their descendants people who will worship Allah alone without associating partners with Him.”

( Sahih Bukhari )

The adultery Adultery can be committed with the eye, heart, and tongue

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: “Verily Allah has fixed the very portion of adultery which a man will indulge in, and which he of necessity must commit. The adultery of the eye is the lustful look, and the adultery of the tongue is the licentious speech; the heart desires and yearns for that which the private parts may or may not put into effect.”

( Sahih Muslim )

Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported: The Prophet صلى الله عليه said, “Indeed, Allah has written for the son of Adam his portion of adultery which he will inevitably commit. The adultery of the eyes is the (lustful) look. The adultery of the tongue is the (lustful) speech. The soul desires and lusts for what the private parts will fulfill or deny.”

Dhuha ( Morning Prayer )

Friday, April 13, 2012 | 0 comments

On the authority of Abu Huraira who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him said), “Every small bone of everyone has upon it a charitable act for everyday upon which the sun rises. Bringing about justice between two is an act of charity. Helping a man get on his mount, lifting him onto it or helping him put his belongings onto it, is a charitable act. A good word is a charitable act. Every step you take toward the prayer is a charitable act. And removing a harmful thing from the path is a charitable act.” (Recorded in al-Bukhari and Muslim)

In a hadith recorded in Sahih Muslim, the Prophet (s) said :

“Every morning there is on the bones and joints of any of you a charitable act. Every tasbeehah is a charitable act; every tahmeedah is a charitable act; every tahleelah is a charitable act; every takbeerah is a charitable act; ordering the good is a charitable act; eradicating evil is a charitable act. To fulfill that charity, it is sifficient to pray two rakats of Dhuha.”

This hadith contains elements of both the hadith recorded above, and the previous hadith, whilst also containing the important addition of the Dhuha prayer fulfilling the obligations of charity due upon the human being for each day the sun rises. The Dhuha prayer consists of at least two rakaats, but can contain as many as eight rakaats broken up into sets of two rakaats each. It is prayed in the time from just after sunrise until just before high noon, but it is preferred to delay it, based on the hadith of the Prophet (s):

“The prayer of the pentinent is when your weaned camels feel the heat of the sun.” (Recorded in Muslim)

Due to the fact that the hadith states that charity is due on the body on every day that the sun rises, and that the Dhuha prayer fulfills this charity, it is highly recommended that we strive to pray at least two rakaats of prayer to fulfill this requirement.

Let’s make it our practice to perform at least two rakaats of prayer during the morning time to show our gratitude to Allah (swt) for the blessing of our bodies, and to fulfill this act of charity that is due upon us each day the sun rises.

Begin with your dependents, and the upper hand (that gives) is better than the lower hand (that takes.)”

( Sahih Muslim )

The Upper Hand that gives is better than the Lower Hand that takes
